Sound familiar?

You're doing the work. It's not showing up on game day.

Gym, nets, running. And still nothing.

You've been bowling the same speed for two seasons, even though you're lifting more.

You're sharp for your first spell, then by your third over you've got nothing left.

You're strong in the gym, but none of it shows up when you bowl.

Your back or side flares up every time the overs ramp up.

You're thinking about your action so much you've forgotten how to just run in and bowl.

You're watching players with less talent get picked ahead of you.

If that's you, it's not effort that's missing. It's structure.

It's not your fault

You train hard. You just don't train together.

Most players are training off a random gym program, a few YouTube drills and whatever the club does on Tuesday night.

Your gym doesn't know what your bowling coach is doing. Your bowling coach doesn't know what your physio said. Nobody is looking at your week as one thing.

Professionals don't train like that. Every session connects to the next one. That's the difference.

Why I built this · Jason Cox, Melbourne

How my failed cricket career helped hundreds of cricketers reach pro level.

I remember sitting in my room after another disappointing weekend, wondering how I could train that hard and still be getting nowhere.

I wasn't lazy. I wasn't short on talent. I did everything a serious cricketer was supposed to do. Extra nets, extra gym sessions. But my performances never matched my effort. The harder I pushed, the further away my goals felt.

Then everything changed the moment I walked into Cricket Victoria and watched how professional players actually trained.

It wasn't talent. It wasn't grinding harder than everyone else. Their success was built on structure. Clear plans, purposeful sessions, and systems where the gym, the skills, the mindset, the nutrition and the recovery all connected and built on each other.

That's when it clicked. I didn't fail because I wasn't good enough. I failed because I never had the professional structure that turns hard work into performance.

And I knew I wasn't alone. There were thousands of cricketers just like me. Talented, committed, working their backsides off, and wasting their best playing years because no one had ever given them the right system.

Since then, we've helped 400+ players move up the grades, earn selection in rep teams and reach their highest level.

So I built the system I wish I'd had. The same structure the pros use, built for players who are still climbing.

The plan

Your first 20 weeks, in three phases.

Phases 1 to 3 are in both plans. The 6-month plan runs to week 26, into the start of your season. The 12-month plan keeps going with Phase 4, right through to week 52.

Phase 1 · Weeks 1 to 6

Build the base

We test where you're at, fix what's leaking pace in your run up and action, and build the strength your body needs to bowl fast without breaking down.

You'll have: a baseline, a fixed weekly routine, and your first technical fixes on video.

Phase 2 · Weeks 7 to 14

Build speed

Power, sprinting and plyos at the start of every session. Bowling loads that build, not spike. This is where the kph comes.

You'll have: measurable gains in speed, power and strength.

Phase 3 · Weeks 15 to 20

Match ready

We peak you for the season. Bowling long spells without fading. Staying on the park.

You'll have: a body that can bowl fast all day and a plan for the whole season.

Phase 4 · Weeks 21 to 52 · 12-month plan

Season performance

In-season workload management, retesting, and keeping the gains while you play.

6-month plan: weeks 21 to 26 take you into the start of your season.

For parents

About half of HPC players are under 18.

So I know parents want to know a few things.

Is it safe?

Every program is built by a qualified strength and conditioning coach. Injury prevention is built into every session, not added on.

I hold a Working With Children Check. Parents can log in to their child's hub account. There are no private messages between players, and everyone signs up to our Code of Conduct.

How will I know it's working?

A monthly consistency report is emailed on the 1st of every month to the account email, which for under-18s is yours. There's also a weekly progress report after every weekly review, and a retest every 10 weeks with the numbers.

What does a week look like?

A quick daily check-in, the gym and sprint sessions in their program, club training and games. It's all built around school.

How does billing work?

Weekly through Stripe, in Australian dollars. A$99 a week on the 6-month plan (26-week minimum) or A$79 a week on the 12-month plan (52-week minimum). 14-day money-back from your first payment. After that, no early exit during the minimum term, then week to week with 2 weeks' notice. No pausing. Full terms.

FAQ

Common questions.

How long until I bowl faster?

Most players notice meaningful changes in their training within the first 4 to 6 weeks. Phase 2 (weeks 7 to 14) is where we build speed. We're not in the business of overnight transformations, but we are in the business of permanent ones.

What do I need to hit to play premier or county cricket?

Every player gets benchmarks for speed, strength and jump height, so you know exactly where you stand and what the gap is.

I'm a batter or spinner. Is this for me?

It's built for fast bowlers and fast bowling all rounders. If you bat or bowl spin, the strength, speed and conditioning work still applies. Not sure? Book a 15-minute call.

I'm overseas. Does this work for me?

Yes. Everything runs through the hub and TeamBuildr, so it works wherever you are. You're billed weekly in Australian dollars and your bank converts it.

I'm injured right now.

Apply and tell me about it. If you need rehab first, I'll point you to the right place.

Can I join mid season?

Yes. We'll build your plan around your games.

Do I need a gym?

Yes. The program is built around proven strength and conditioning methods that need proper equipment to get the best results.

What happens after the minimum term?

Most players keep going. It continues week to week until you cancel with 2 weeks' notice.

Can I pause or cancel?

You can cancel within 14 days of your first payment for a full refund. After that there's no pausing and no early exit during your minimum term (26 weeks on the 6-month plan, 52 weeks on the 12-month plan). After that you can cancel any time with 2 weeks' notice. If you get injured, your program gets adapted, or you move to HPC Online Rehab. Full terms.

How young is too young?

HPC Online is for players 12 and over. Younger players only with my agreement, so book a call first.
